De Simone Formulation
The De Simone Formulation contained in CDS22-formula is the result of the pioneering research of Professor Claudio De Simone (MD, FAGA), who redefined the approach to gut health by introducing the use of high-concentration probiotic blends, now recognized in the guidelines of the American Gastroenterology Association (AGA) and the European Crohn’s and Colitis Organization (ECCO).
Professor De Simone’s interest in the gut microbiota dates back to the 1980s, when the crucial role of intestinal flora was just beginning to be understood.
He is an honorary member of the American College of Gastroenterology and, after earning his medical degree, specialized in gastroenterology, allergology, and clinical immunology. He has taught Infectious Diseases at the University of L’Aquila (Italy)
and has authored over 200 clinical studies, scientific articles, and book chapters.
Since the commercial launch of his renowned De Simone Formulation in the 1990s, Professor De Simone has actively advocated for stricter regulation and higher quality control standards for probiotics, highlighting the potential risks to health and well-being.
Current regulations often do not require in-depth comparative studies to ensure that changes in manufacturing processes do not compromise the efficacy and safety of commercially available probiotic products.
